“Put Up A Fight” is an original mixed media acrylic 30” x 24” painting. This painting of a 3D coneflower was created to echo patients from Carroll Hospital Center’s inspiring words. The painting is filled with words from the patients hoping to inspire anyone sitting in the new William E. Kahlert Cancer Center waiting room to "put up a fight" against cancer. the center of the conflower is three dimensional with very thick paint. A bit of history...I graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I have run my own Graphic Design business for over 20 years, designing brochures, magazines trade show materials, logos, websites, web ads and more. I have a very creative engineer husband who amazes me every day and three incredible boys. They kept me so busy I rarely got the chance to paint. The economy hit my business hard and I decided I would expand my business to include my first love: PAINTING! In hopes to pay bills and bring in income for my boys education. I love flowers they bring such joy to me. It amazes me...
