The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. "Wedding Rose" was painted with acrylic paint over a mixed media collage of inspirational words. The rose was painted with palette knife to give it a three dimensional quality. The background is inlaid with a wedding blessing to give a wedding couple truth and blessings and words: "Our Wedding",
"To Honor", "To Cherish", "To have and to hold", "Love clothed in Glory". On the side of the original canvas is "1 Corinthians 13: 4-8" and "my partner in life and my one true love," "truth", "Always Hopes", and "Always Perseveres". My hope is that it brings as much truth and happiness to the happy couple as I gained from painting it. (and abundantly more!)

A bit of history...I graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I have run my own Graphic Design business for over 20 years, designing brochures, magazines trade show materials, logos, websites, web ads and more. I have a very creative engineer husband who amazes me every day and three incredible boys. They kept me so busy I rarely got the chance to paint. The economy hit my business hard and I decided I would expand my business to include my first love: PAINTING! In hopes to pay bills and bring in income for my boys education. I love flowers they bring such joy to me. It amazes me...
